She was a member of the Murphy Arts Gallery in Keene, has exhibited with the Windham Art Gallery in Brattleboro, Vermont, and was represented by the Redmond Bennet Gallery in Dublin, New Hampshire. Statement

Deborah Lloyd Kaufman’s paintings evolve to build rich and complex areas of color and texture. Emerging color, form and shape interact, leading to tension and complexity. The movement through and around the surface suggests a journey. Gesture, line and mark evoke energy and the idea of new possibility. Shapes hover on or move off of the edge, a reminder to think larger, to see beyond the obvious. The subject matter is the event happening on the surface of the canvas, creating an encounter for both painter and viewer alike.
